The most celebrated event for farmers in Andhra Pradesh which is THE RICE BOWEL OF BHARAT is
ERUVAKA PURNIMA. Most of us originated from the background of farmer family which is the back bone of the nation and the world.

Eruvaka Purnima or Eruvaka Punnami is a special festival celebrated in many parts of South India, especially in Andhra Pradesh.Eruvaka Poornima is a special festival celebrated by farmers and agriculturists on the full moon day, in the month of Ashada. On this day Agriculturists or farmers worship the yoke, the plough and the bulls with turmeric and kumkum.

Eruvaka Purnima is on Wednesday, June 15th. I still remember when I was 5 years old, I used to go on this day with my Grand father to the farm to do all the rituals on Eruvaka Purnima. Those of us who are not familiar with this important event, Please click the link below
